Genesis Chapter 12

Am I Willing To Go Wherever God Calls Me?

A lot jumps out at me in this chapter but one thing that caught my attention is when God called Abram out of his country, away from his people and from his family. And God told him to go to an unknown area and it’s then that God promises that from his offspring will come a great nation. Abram obeyed God, even with his wife Sarai, his nephew Lot, and with all his servants and possessions. As he traveled he would occasionally stop and build an altar and pray to the Lord, and then travel as he felt led by God.
I continue to seek the Lord for the ministry location he has called us to. Am I willing to leave family and friends, whom I love, and leave our current living area in order to fulfill the call God has on our lives? Am I willing to trust God even if the future is unknown, yet trust he’ll reveal the right calling in his timing?
Lord, again, I surrender my life and will to you. I trust you to lead us where you want us to go and trust you will bless the ministry you have called us to.

Since I wrote this devotional,  some new events have transpired which I would love to share.

God has opened the door for me to serve at the Union City Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. I will hold a part-time position as the Outreach and Discipleship Pastor. plus they are allowing me to continue to speak at different venues such as youth events, young adult events, conferences, churches, retreats, etc

I’m looking forward to the challenge of reaching into the community and building relationships. Thank you Lord for your faithfulness.
