Galatians Chapter 6
Carry Each Other’s Burdens.
If someone is caught in a sin we are told to gently confront them with the goal of seeing them restored back into a holy relationship with the Lord. Notice it didn’t say condemn them and jump all over them.
But this chapter goes a step further. It’s not just having a conversation with someone but we are also told to invest into their lives so that we are even helping them carry their burden.
We as Christians go through difficult times, whether struggling with a sin or struggling with life. We need each other! We need to encourage each other! We need to help each other which means taking action. Sometimes I feel like that part gets left out. We pray for, or we talk to the person, but sometimes we have to get our hands dirty and invest our time into their lives.
Perhaps that’s why it says, “Don’t get tired of doing good.” In fact we are instructed to do good for ALL people. If we obey this with persistence, then we will see a harvest for the Lord!
