Galatians Chapter 3
Let’s Walk By Faith And Not By The Flesh.
Paul is frustrated with the Galatians because they heard the message of Jesus and once received it by faith, but all of a sudden they turned to living their life according to their flesh versus according to the Spirit of God. Paul points them back to living by faith just like Abraham did. And we become children of God when we, like Abraham, live by faith and not by the law.
The law of God was given so that we would recognize our sins and realize our need for the one God promised, that is, Jesus Christ. It’s Jesus who took on our sins so we could be alive again. The Law revealed sin which = Death. But God revealed his son Jesus which = New Life.
Faith in Christ means we become children of God. And when our hearts are baptized into Christ, we become clothed with Christ meaning clothed with his righteousness which is displayed in and through us. The good news is: this new life in Jesus is for everyone!! Let’s share it!
