First Chronicles Chapter 7
Are You Ready For War?
It says that the descendants of Benjamin were men of valor and always ready to go to war. Let me remind you that everyday is a Spiritual battle. There’s a constant battle not with flesh and blood but with the evil spirits and principalities of this world. Satan is constantly trying to beat us up, tear us down, and ultimately break our relationship with the Lord God. If we are not ready for battle we are setting ourselves up to be easily taken over by the enemy. We have to be like the descendants of Benjamin who were always ready for war.
Therefore, as said in Ephesians 6:13-20, put on the full armor of God so when Satan comes to fight we are ready for battle. The armor consists of the following:
1. God’s truth – the Word of God.
2. Righteousness meaning we are faithful to God’s Word.
3. We are told to be ready in anticipation. That’s a mindset.
4. We need the shield of faith because faith is what protects us from what the enemy shoots at us.
5. We’re told to be people of prayer and alert to what’s going on.
Are you ready for battle TODAY? Are you anticipating an easy day or days of obstacles. Are you alert? Do you have the right mindset for spiritual warfare? Are you connected to God through his Word and His Holy Spirit? Are you ready to act in faith believing in a victory? Are you ready? If not, don’t leave your house until you’ve connected with the one who fights before you.
