First Chronicles Chapter 3
“Well Done My Good And Faithful Servant!”
Chapter 3 is all about the genealogy of the family of David. We see a list of all David’s sons and a long list of several generations.
My twin brother has invested time in studying our family tree. We were both given a book put out by a relative who had our family tree that went back several generations. I have heard stories of how one relative was a pastor, one was a captain of a ship, one was a criminal. I’m sure our genealogy is filled with drama. I’m sure all genealogies have great stories that could be told but what’s important to me is how has my life helped point people to Jesus? People can look back at my life and say something wonderful or say something terrible. My Hope Is that people would be able to say, this man impacted lives for Christ. Or better yet, I want when I stand before the Lord, to hear him say, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.” If I died today, I wonder what God would say? Is there something more I can be doing for the Lord? God, use me and help me to be all that I can be for you!
