First Chronicles Chapter 28
You Can Do This! Jesus Will Help You.
God is soon to take King David’s life and make his son, Solomon, King in his place. God has chosen Solomon to build the house for the Lord. He was instructed to be strong and courageous and to not fear nor be dismayed. And he was instructed to love God with all his heart and mind, plus be active for the Lord. Solomon has a job to do for the Lord and God is expecting him to be ACTIVE. Not lazy. Not procrastinating. Not half-hearted. May these words be a motivation for us as we serve the Lord.
What is God calling for you to do? What’s your attitude about it? Let me encourage you as David did Solomon:
1. Be strong and courageous.
2. Do not fear or be dismayed.
3. Serve the Lord with all your heart and all your mind.
He will strengthen you and encourage you to stand up for the Truth. Take that step of faith. Don’t put it off. Do what he’s calling you to do “today!” ACT and see what God will do!
