First Chronicles Chapter 25
Being A Skilled Laborer For Christ.
Before King David’s death he had assigned men to prophesize with many trained and skilled musicians and singers.
When it comes to serving the Lord, I feel it has to be taken seriously. I realize that could be a stupid statement because it’s so obvious. But in reality, I think it’s easy to be a “lazy” Christian because I feel Christians want to invest the bare minimum of their time and effort in their faith walk and service for the Lord. They’d rather give the bare minimum and “put in their time.”
I feel Christians are too busy being “good” at earthly skills for their benefit and they don’t have “time” to be trained and skilled at using their gifts within the church and maybe even unwilling to be trained on how to share their faith.
Think how differently our interaction with people would be if we were trained to love and share our faith and meet needs on a regular basis. Think of how many extra lives would be impacted for the kingdom! What are your spiritual weaknesses? What are you willing to sacrifice or give up so you can be better trained to serve the Lord faithfully and impact more lives for the kingdom?
