First Chronicles Chapter 15
Let’s See If We Can’t Do Better The Second Time.
This is the chapter that King David moved the Ark of God a second time back to the city of David. But this time he does it God’s way versus his own way.
The first time he moved it, he did so without the priest and Levites and violated God’s laws. It’s great to see him learn from his first mistake and be very serious about how he moved the ark this time. He gets about a thousand priests and Levites and tell them to be clean before the Lord so that no unholy thing touches anything that has to do with the Ark.
King David went from sloppily moving the ark, resulting in a death consequence, to finally seriously doing it God’s way and have a moment of great praising and worshiping before the Lord.
This is true for all of us. If we choose to be sloppy with our faith practices, we can be sure that it will result into negative consequences which will affect us and perhaps others.
When this happens, and it will, then let us learn from our mistakes and ask God to help us gain victory in the area of struggle. Don’t give up!! Jesus loves you!
