First Chronicles Chapter 12
Maybe It’s Time To Reevaluate.
God’s hand was upon David and raised up men to fight for him as king. King David had strong men from Ziklag come to support him as king who were highly trained and skilled warriors. David’s support grew from all the tribes of Israel. Well over 300,000 men came willing to fight for David.
God had a plan and people from all tribes saw his plan as a worthy plan to support. Men came to fight for David. These men were skilled, not because they were born that way, but because they were SELF DISCIPLINED to practice and they were MOTIVATED because of being committed in their hearts.
What are you committed to? Things of the Lord or things of the world? Are you striving to be all that God wants you to be for him? Are you self-disciplined enough to set aside time to focus on God’s calling for your life? Are you motivated by the conviction of your heart for the Lord?
Perhaps, today is a good day to stop and reevaluate where your heart is when it comes to being all the Lord want you to be for him. Ask yourself, am I committed? Am I self disciplined in investing my talent and gifts for the Lord? How motivated am I? What are the obstacles preventing me from being all God wants me to be? Let today be a new day for serving the Lord with all our hearts.
