First Chronicles Chapter 11
Let’s Become Greater And Greater For The Lord!
After King Saul’s death, David was anointed King over Israel. Yet one of the cities did not accept him as king, so David and his army fought against them and overtook their City.
It says that, “David became greater and greater, for the Lord of hosts was with him.”
A list of warriors’ names were mentioned and what great things they accomplished as a supporter of David’s army.
For example, one man killed 300 men with his spear.
It is truly my desire to become greater and greater for the Lord! Greater doesn’t necessarily mean one becomes popular around the world. It’s all about being obedient to the Lord and impacting lives for him. May that be all of our desires.
1. For some, God may be calling you as a leader who will have supporters supporting God’s call on your life.
2. Some may be one of those supporters who are very active and not afraid to take risks and not afraid to step out in faith.
3. Some may be the person nobody hears about and gets no recognition from people but God sees their “small” acts of love that touches the lives of others. Great will be that person’s reward in heaven. That person is my wife who invests so much of her time and love in helping her family as she did with my mom.
Surrender Your Heart to the Lord and let’s be great for him.
