Ezra Chapter 6
“Well That Backfired!”
God had given a directive to the Israelites to rebuild the temple. The King of Persia had ordered it to happen before he died. The prophets were constantly encouraging the Israelites in their task. Then all of a sudden, the governor and his colleagues, step in to stop the project. They in turn told the new king to stop the project. When the new king found out that the previous King ordered it to happen, he not only said to the governor, Let the project continue, but he also ordered the governor and his colleagues to give the Israelites whatever they needed in order to complete the project. He said do this or die!
“Ouch!!!!” That had to hurt! Don’t you love it when things backfire on the enemy? When things backfire like this, it’s just a reminder to me that God is in control. He’s got this! It doesn’t matter how big the opposition is, if God declares it, he’ll make sure it happens. He’s a big God! He can overcome any obstacle that rises up against him. Don’t forget it! 😃
