Ezra Chapter 5
People are Relentless.
Here we see the Relentlessness of God, of the prophets of God, and of the enemies of God.
God sent the prophets to Israel to instruct them to start rebuilding the temple again even though they were instructed by the previous King to stop. The prophets stayed with the workers and constantly encouraged them through their relentless words of encouragement.
But their enemies, who influenced the previous King to order them to stop, were relentless to get the new king to do the same.
But may we never forget, that God is also relentless in his love for us. Though the enemy comes against us, may we be encouraged to be faithful to the Lord and to the work he has called us to. And might we encourage each other just as the prophets encouraged the workers in rebuilding the Temple.
CHALLENGE:
1. Be relentless in pursuing the work that God has called you to.
2. Be relentless in encouraging others in their faith walk.
