Ezra Chapter 3
Progress Comes In Small Steps.
Shortly after 50,000 people returned to the destroyed Jerusalem and Judah, they began to be re-established with the Lord.
They immediately built an altar before the Lord so they could offer burnt offerings day and night.
Then after 2 years, they began to build the foundation for the new Temple of the Lord. After it’s completion, there was so much joy expressed by the Israelites. They still had a long ways to go to complete the temple but they still rejoiced even though many steps were yet to come.
I pray it is each of our desires to do something for the Lord. If so, let’s make sure that our personal relationship is connected with him. It’s important to be connected to Christ before we try and do some type of ministry.
Then, as God begins to use you and equip you for something in the future, greatly rejoice for even the smallest steps of progress. Let these be testimonies shared with others of God’s greatness. What’s something you could share that God is doing right now in or through your life?
