Ezra Chapter 1
Let’s Find Victory One Step At A Time.
After the Lord’s Temple and Jerusalem were destroyed, Cyrus, King of Persia, was stirred by God to build the Lord a house in Jerusalem. God also stirred the hearts of many of the priests and Levites and other people of Judah.
Cyrus began to gather items from the people, and gathered several articles that were stolen from the previous Temple of the Lord. This was the first step being taken towards rebuilding of the Temple. They have a long ways to go before it happens, but one has to take the first step before you get to the final step.
Perhaps God is wanting to rebuild a portion of our hearts for him. What’s the first step you would need to take before that can happen? Maybe we need to:
1. Change our attitude.
2. Surrender our hearts 100% to the Lord so he can begin to change our hearts.
3. Surrender the sin we’ve been trapped in and then ask a friend to be an accountability partner.
4. Spend more time alone with the Lord.
5. Get re-established in a church where we have fellowship with other believers.
6. Seek reconciliation of a broken relationship.
Whatever step you need to take, take it today. Don’t put it off. Let’s take this first step toward finding victory in our lives.
