Exodus Chapter 39
Do We Show Our Appreciation?
Finally, the work of the Tabernacle, and all the furnishings, and garments were completed and brought to Moses. He then examined all the work and it was completed just as the Lord had commanded. It says, “So Moses blessed them.”
The Hebrew word for “Blessed” is Barak. It means to adore someone in a way that shows great gratitude and a strong sense of appreciation.
When someone does something for us, how do we show our appreciation? Our gratitude?
Do they feel adored and sense our gratitude and appreciation?
Don’t get me wrong, our motives for helping others should not be to get praised but to please the Lord. But at the same time, we who are blessed should express our gratitude to others for two reasons:
1. It helps reinforce such positive behaviors so they will want to do it again.
2. Most importantly, it helps acknowledge the gifts God has given to others in hopes they will want to be a blessing more to others.
