Exodus Chapter 33
Let Me Lead The Way.
God is angry with the Israelites for turning to a golden calf for their god. He tells Moses that they will travel to the promised land without his presence. God said if he were to lead the way he would destroy the Israelites because they have been an obstinate people.
Moses responds by saying, how can I lead the people without you? If you don’t lead us then don’t send us. How will the Israelites know if my decisions find favor with you. God responds by saying, I will lead you as you requested because I am pleased with you.
May that be our heart that we don’t want to go anywhere without God’s Holy Spirit guiding and directing us. I want to pray daily for God’s leading for my life in every aspect of my life. I want people to know, when they see my life, that God is truly in control and gets all the glory and praise. I don’t want to ever boast about how great of a job I’m doing.
