Exodus Chapter 3
Are You Listening?
Moses is shepherding his father-in-law’s herd and comes near Mount Horeb, the Mountain of God. There God appears to Moses in a burning bush that’s not consumed. God calls out to Moses and Moses responds by saying, “Here I am.” Which means, “you have my attention.”
Please realize that God is calling out to us daily. What is our response? Does he have our attention? Are we too busy to recognize his voice?
God identifies a problem to Moses. And he tells what the end result will be. Then he gives the solution to how he’s going to carry out the plan to get the end result.
What’s your problem today? What are you going through? Take it to the Lord in prayer, daily if you have to, then listen because in due time God will answer. It may be at your normal work day that he speaks to you, or while you’re reading his Word or praying.
It may not be the answer you were looking for. It may not be in the direction that you hoped for. But I know this, his answer will be in our best interest.
So take it to God in prayer and listen and obey.
