Exodus Chapter 29
Being Made Holy.
Exodus 28 speaks about the priests being holy. Exodus 29 tells what rituals the priests are to follow in order to be made holy before they enter into the presence of Almighty God.
1. They are to present an offering to the Lord consisting of two animals along with certain food items.
2. They are to be washed with water.
3. The priests’ clothes will then be put on them.
4. They will be anointed with oil over their heads.
5. The blood of the animal sacrifices are spread over different items, such as, the altar, certain parts of the body of the priests, and over their garments.
Thus resulting in them being consecrated, made holy.
6. The priest will then eat some of the food offered to the Lord for the food is now holy and they can only take in what is Holy.
God declares that through all these rituals it is he that is ultimately making them holy.
Let us learn from this for our own lives. It is God that makes us holy through a relationship with Jesus. We are to be holy as he is Holy and we should only take into our spiritual bodies that which is holy. I pray that you are daily feeding on the Word of God allowing the Holy Spirit to make you more and more like Jesus everyday. Do not neglect the Word of God, do not neglect the fellowship with other believers in the church and outside the church.
