Exodus Chapter 23
Three Parties For The Lord!
God gives the Israelites a directive to do three feasts a year.
1. A feast that reminds them of how God delivered them out of Egypt.
2. A feast that reminds them to give God their first fruits of their labor.
3. A feast that celebrates all of God’s provision.
These feasts remind me of how I need to remember all that God has done for me.
1. I too need to remember often how God saved my life from sin into a new life with Christ because it’s easy to get distracted with the things of this world.
2. I need to remember to give to the Lord a tithe of my income as a way of showing my appreciation for His blessings of even being able to have an income. I want my blessing from God to be a blessing to others in the church and its ministries.
3. I also need to daily celebrate all of God’s provisions. He has given me much and I don’t want to take any of it for granted but to remember daily to give my thanks and praises for all of his provisions.
