Exodus Chapter 13
Deliverance By Way Of The Wilderness.
God is now leading the Israelites out of Egypt but he doesn’t take the shortest route for fear if they think there’s going to be war they may want to return back to Egypt. No, instead, they go by way of the wilderness, the long and hard route.
Going the long and more difficult way was God’s way of getting his name glorified. But we as Christians always want the quick and easy path. We don’t want to have to go through the wilderness known as the UNKNOWN and filled with FEAR, followed by a LACK OF FAITH. Why God? Why does it have to be this way?
1. It teaches us to grow in faith.
2. But also results in God getting all the glory and praise and honor because there’s no way we can do what he did going through the more difficult path.
Challenge: Learn to praise and thank God during the wilderness travels as a way of saying to God, “I trust you!”
Karin and I had the unknown for our future regarding Ministry and we felt like we were in the wilderness, so today I praise God and thank him for being in control and for opening doors for ministry, and look forward to what new doors he will open!
