Esther Chapter 9
God’s Open Door!
When the 12th month came, the king’s first decree was executed by the people in the 127 provinces. This meant an Open Door was given the enemies of the Jews to fight and kill them. But it also meant the second decree could be executed which gave the Jews the Open Door to fight against any enemies that attacked them. As a result, the Jews killed over 75,000 people throughout all the provinces.
Then God gave the Open Door for all the Jews to celebrate this great victory every year so that they would never forget what great thing God did.
What Open Door is God giving you? Do you feel you’re being attacked by the spiritual enemies? May this motivate you to draw closer to God through his word and be empowered by his spirit.
Perhaps the enemy is a real person. In this case, stand firm in God’s love and destroy this person’s hate with the power of God’s love.
Perhaps God has done a miracle in your life and he’s giving you the Open Door to celebrate by sharing it with your family and friends. He wants you to remember this wonderful thing he has done so you never forget and so it acts as a reminder that you can rely on him for all things.
