Esther Chapter 8
Righteousness is Restored.
After King Ahaserus had Haman, his former number one man, killed, then he gave Mordecai, a Jew, Haman’s job.
Then Queen Esther asked the king if he could revoke the first decree that was issued so that the Jews would not be attacked and killed in the 12th month. But because a decree could not be revoked, the king established a new decree stating that in the 12th month, if anyone attacks the Jews, then the Jews have every right to defend themselves. This gave the Jews, throughout all the 127 provinces, great joy.
Because of the integrity of Queen Esther and Mordecai, God’s righteousness toward the Jews is restored. It is a great testimony of God’s love and control over life circumstances. May we truly be people of great integrity and then give testimony of how God’s righteousness is being restored in our lives, and in the lives of those around us. May we rejoice even for that one life that we see changed because of God using us, our faith, and our integrity which acts as testimony of our faith.
