Esther Chapter 6
It Just So Happened.
In this chapter you can see the hand of God at work because there were so many “coincidences” that “just so happened.”
It just so happened Haman built a Gallow to kill Mordecai in the morning. It just so happened that the king could not sleep that night. And it just so happened the king had the servant read from the Book of Chronicles. It just so happened the servant read the part where Mordecai saved the king’s life. It just so happened the king wanted to honor Mordecai. It just so happened Haman appeared at that very moment. It just so happened the king asked Haman how the king should honor a man he wishes to honor. So Haman responds by lavishing a great way to honor this man because it just so happened he thinks he is going to be honored. It just so happened it was Mordecai that was going to be honored. It just so happened that the king chose Haman to honor Mordecai all around the city saying praises about Mordecai. Mordecai, who was going to be killed by Haman’s plan, ended up being honored throughout the city led by Haman saying praises about Mordecai.
May we be more aware of the “coincidences” in our lives that “just so happened” and be willing to praise God for his mighty work in our lives.
