Esther Chapter 4
Was It For This Time You Were Created?
When Mordecai and the Jews, along with Queen Esther, heard about the decree Haman put out to have all the Jews killed within 127 provinces, they were in great anguish.
Mordecai requested that Queen Esther go before the king and ask that he have mercy on her people, the Jews. Queen Esther was afraid because:
1. The king didn’t know she was a Jew. And
2. No one was allowed to enter into his presence without being invited. Otherwise they would be killed, unless the king lifted his scepter to the person thus allowing them to enter into his presence.
When she showed resistance to Mordecai, he said to her, perhaps it was for this time that you were created. Perhaps God created you and allowed you to be put into royalty so that your influence upon the king would save the Jews. So they fasted and prayed for 3 days seeking God’s direction and favor.
What are things in your life that you see as a great need? And you’re wondering what could be done to remedy this problem!?!
Perhaps it was for this reason you were created and God is wanting to use you to intervene in this situation.
For example, I’m concerned about the lost people in Union City and have prayed a great deal and believe I am to play a part in reaching those lost and hurting people. So plans have been made and some are being implemented now, while other plans will be implemented later.
