Ephesians Chapter 1
May Our Heart For God’s People Be Like Paul’s.
Paul’s heart for the Lord and God’s people is amazing. He reminds the people of being holy before our God. I have become disheartened, but not surprised, of how many Christians have no problem with having sex before marriage or living with their boy/girlfriend. God ordained for us to be holy. He established this thought even before we were born.
I was also intrigued by Paul’s prayer at the end of chapter one:
1. He thanked God always for the people.
2. He prayed that they would know Jesus better.
3. He prayed that the holy people would know the glorious inheritance that they have with God through Jesus.
4. He prayed that God’s people would know of His great power, the same power that Rose Jesus from the dead.
As I read this, I was thinking of Paul’s heart.
1. There’s a call to be holy and not compromise our bodies for our selfish pleasures.
2. May we be thankful for the Christians in our lives. Let them know you’re thankful for them.
3. May we pray for others and have a true concern for the well-being of God’s people.
