Ecclesiastes Chapter 4
I’m Exhausted.
King Solomon speaks of those who are OPPRESSED and feels bad for them because they have no power or comforter on earth. In essence, King Solomon feels life is not fair because evil takes no mercy or compassion for the hurting. Remember, life on Earth is not our eternal home. The good news is, we have a Savior that says he will be with us through all the trials and tribulations of life and if we persevere to the end we get a great reward in heaven. Never give up. There’s always hope. Jesus promised he would be with us.
King Solomon also mentioned how so many people toil in life, who work very hard. And for what? Many wish to leave an inheritance for their children. Such an inheritance never lasts. It’s all temporary. If we are going to toil, then let us work hard to be all that God wants us to be for him. It starts with Jesus. In Christ we have waiting for us an inheritance that lasts forever, that is heaven. Do you want to leave a financial inheritance for your children? Great! Just never lose focus on the spiritual inheritance! I’d rather be Poor and have a spiritual inheritance than Rich and spend eternity in a lake of fire.
