Is The Key Ingredient Missing?
King Solomon writes that life is meaningless. Some people get weary of life. It seems to go nowhere. Every day is just a repeat of the previous days. They see life as mundane, without value, worth, purpose, and lacking of Hope.
I love brownies, sadly I can’t eat them like I used to. But if you take out the one key ingredient, the cocoa powder, then make a whole batch of brownies and give it to me to eat, it will taste terrible. It will be a total waste. Worthless and meaningless! The brownies aren’t really brownies unless it has the key ingredient, the cocoa powder. Put it in the brownies and all of a sudden they have value, worth, purpose, meaning! The brownies become the greatest dessert ever!
It’s the same with life. If I focus on life without the key ingredient, it seems meaningless, mundane, boring, and hopeless. But if you put Christ, the key ingredient, into your life, now, all of a sudden, life takes on a new meaning. It now has value, worth, purpose, and hope. Now each day of life is seen as new opportunities to live life to the fullest!! John 10:10 says that Christ came to give life and to give it to the fullest. Christ followers should be the greatest example of a full life to a world that sees no meaning and Hope. Are you living life as if it is mundane and meaningless? My challenge is for you to receive the key ingredient, Jesus Christ, who can change the course of your life giving it value, worth, purpose, joy and salvation.
