Deuteronomy Chapter 9
You’ve Got To Be Crazy! This Is Impossible!
God says to Israel to get ready because they’re about to take away Nations that have huge walls, with large cities, and with tall and strong warriors. Basically, God is saying they will be facing what seems like impossible and scary circumstances. Yet he says, do not worry because God himself will win the battles for them. In fact he will go before them like a devouring fire and they will devour their enemies quickly.
God has a call and purpose for our lives, and through this process, we are to trust and obey him. We will face what seem like IMPOSSIBLE circumstances. But God says not to worry. He will win our battles. He’ll be with us always. He’ll devour any obstacle in our paths so trust and obey him.
And when God does do what seems like The IMPOSSIBLE, be sure to stop and give thanks and praise. Don’t ever get arrogant as if you’re some super spiritual Christian, better than everybody else. Because if the truth be known, we keep failing with our walk, our thoughts an actions. Rather, never forget how loving and compassionate God is that he’s willing to accomplish great things in and through our lives despite our mistakes. Take your sin / mistakes to the Lord for forgiveness, then trust him for your future.
