Deuteronomy Chapter 16
Remember What God HAS And IS Doing In Your Life.
God commanded the Israelites to have times of Celebration which helped them remember what God saved them from and to also celebrate how God is currently blessing them.
They were:
1. To celebrate how God delivered them from the bondage of Egypt and celebrate how God delivered them from the living conditions in which they lived while in Egypt. 2. They were to celebrate how God is now blessing them, such as their crops.
What did God save each of us from? Without Jesus, we are in bondage of sin. What sin were you trapped in and God has delivered you from it? What changes has God brought into our lives because of Christ? And what are the blessings of today that we need to celebrate and give thanks for? And what will be the blessing for tomorrow that we need to be ready to remember, celebrate, and thank God for?
May these times of remembrance of what God has and is doing in our lives only motivate us to stay focused on the Lord daily.
