Deuteronomy Chapter 1
Spiritual Successes and Spiritual Failures.
Deuteronomy consists of God’s words spoken through Moses to the Israelites. Moses gives a recap of their history with God mentioning their journey of successes along with their failures (lack of trust and their rebellion against God). Moses also gives a recap of the Laws of God. For how is it possible to walk faithfully with the Lord without knowing his word and expectations for our lives?
What’s our story? What’s our history of spiritual successes and spiritual failures (rebellion and lack of trust toward God)? What have we learned from them? The Israelites were slow learners. Are we also?
CHALLENGE:
Over the next 7 days reevaluate your life with the Lord. Identify and acknowledge any rebellion or lack of trust. Surrender it to the Lord and begin to walk in faith and in faithfulness to the Lord as Caleb did.
