Acts Chapter 6
Churches are Incomplete!
All churches have weak areas in ministry. That’s why it is so important to have all followers of Christ take part in the ministry of the church. If all who confess to be Christians took part in church ministry, we’d be able to fill the weak spots in ministry. Plus it would free up the pastor to be able to focus on his gifts more plus it would help the 20% of Christians doing 80% of the work in the church to be able to rest more and not get burned out and discouraged. And the greatest benefit would be that more people would get saved.
Seeing new people get saved should be what it’s all about! In this chapter, the people chose seven men to help in the weak areas of ministry in the new church. They were men of:
1. Good Repute,
2. Full Of The Spirit, and
3. Full Of God’s Wisdom.
Oh that we could all be focused on Christ and his word so that we become these three things so that God could use us to be an effective tool to reach lost souls.
