Acts Chapter 24
God Is Still In Control.
I find it interesting to see how God’s hand was in Paul’s life especially since it seemed all was doom and gloom for Paul. Yet God had favor on him and God’s word was being proclaimed to the elite through Paul just as God said it would.
What were some of the interesting “coincidences” or events that were happening in Paul’s life?
1. Paul was a Roman citizen which meant the Romans would do him no harm. Therefore we see God’s hand protecting Paul.
2. The governor, Felix, had married a Jewish woman so he found Paul, a Jew, very interesting to listen to. Once again, this kept Paul alive.
3. Paul was put in prison, which is seen as a negative thing, but it was an opportunity for God to inspire Paul to write letters which became major parts of our Bible in the New Testament: Colossians, Philemon, Ephesians, and Philippians.
God’s hand was in all this just like his hand is in all of our lives. Paul pursued Christ and God used him through every circumstances, both the good and the bad. What are you going through right now? Does it seem fair or unfair? Good or bad? Guess what? God is still in control and can still use you in your darkest moments. God can still use your circumstances to bring glory to his name. Do you believe this? Have hope in Jesus! A great testimony for Jesus is coming. Persevere and don’t give up.
