Acts Chapter 22
God Salvation Through Jesus is for Everyone.
Paul stood before the rioters and mob of Jews who wanted him killed because he preached a message of Hope for the Gentiles / non-Jews. When Paul began to speak to them in Aramaic, they became silent. Paul shared his testimony with them:
1. He was thoroughly trained in the law.
2. He was zealous for God.
3. He persecuted Christians to their death and put many into jail.
4. He encountered Jesus while going to Damascus and was blinded by a bright light from heaven.
5. God sent Ananias to pray for him and God restored his sight.
6. Ananias told Paul that God wanted him to be witness to ALL people.
7. Paul shared how God spoke to him in Jerusalem saying Paul was to leave Jerusalem because the Jews would not receive his message of Jesus.
8. Instead he was to go to the non-Jews / Gentiles and preach.
As soon as Paul said this, the crowd began to shout for Paul’s death. How dare him share that God would allow others to have a relationship with him that were not “God’s chosen people” the Jews.
But this was the beginning of God’s Grace, Mercy, and to be displayed to ALL for God loved ALL people and didn’t wish that any would perish but that all would come to know Christ.
This needs to be our attitude. No one is exempt from the salvation message of Jesus. Who is God calling us to preach to that perhaps we never would have thought was an option?
