2nd Timothy Chapter 2
FLEE from Evil and PURSUE Righteousness
Paul says to Timothy that everyone who confesses Jesus must turn from wickedness. In fact, he says we are to FLEE from all evil and PURSUE righteousness, faith, love, and peace. Both these words, FLEE and PURSUE, are very active words. Therefore we are to actively FLEE from evil and actively PURSUE toward the things of the Lord. In other words, don’t FLIRT with sin! Get away hard and fast and run hard and fast to the righteousness of the Lord.
Which words describe us the most! FLEEING from and PURSUING toward OR FLIRTING with?
Exciting news is, God says that those who FLEE from wickedness he will make them an instrument for him with a special purpose. Who wouldn’t want that? May I be faithful!!!
