2nd Thessalonians Chapter 3
Pray and Work!
Paul asks for prayer: 1. That the message of Jesus would spread rapidly. And 2. They would be delivered from the wicked and evil ones that oppose them.
What is one PRAYER REQUEST you have today that we can be praying for?
As for me, I’m getting ready to launch a new ministry in the Community where I’m ready to do ministry outside the church in the community. And praying for the opportunity to start discipleship teams within the church. Please pray God would help provide those willing to support this calling.
Paul also warns us not to be idle and lazy people. In fact he said, “if they don’t work, they don’t eat.” He also said, “they shall earn the food they eat.” To be idle is to have an attitude that says, “you owe me!” When in fact, Jesus said we are to have an attitude of a servant or even a slave, that says, “what can I do for you?”
What would people say of us? Are we hard workers or lazy? Maybe we aren’t lazy because we work, but are we just “good” workers or are we “excellent” workers? And does our attitude of “what can I do for you?” carry over into other aspects of our lives: our home, our families, our church, our neighborhood, etc?
Let us pray for each other and let us be examples to others and what it means to be an excellent worker.
