2nd Samuel Chapter 24
Wow, Am I Good!!
God had blessed King David with a great army of men. But David took delight in this army as if it was because of his doing rather than God’s blessing.
So he commanded that a census be taken to count all the men in Israel and Judah that were able to fight. Almost 10 months later, the number came to 1,300,000 fighting men.
God saw what David did and the consequences were three days of pestilence that killed 70,000 men.
Be careful what you do when you are blessed by God. Never forget who your provider is and never forget where your strength and power comes from. Never put trust in your own abilities or trust in your own things. Once you do that, trouble is forthcoming and people may get hurt, relationships may suffer, or you may lose the blessing you are putting your trust in rather than putting your trust in God.
Be thankful for your blessings but always put your trust and faith in the Lord.
What is a blessing you have from God that others might say, look at your accomplishments!
I feel God has given me a gift of speaking and I receive a lot of positive feedback. Once you hear positive feedback, it can become easy to say look how great I am. But God is the gift giver so I THANK HIM for the blessings it can be to others.
