2nd Chronicles Chapter 7
Dedicate Your Life To The Lord With Enthusiasm.
I was fascinated with how King Solomon and all the people of Israel dedicated the new Temple of the Lord to God. They dedicated it with enthusiasm as a way of telling the Lord that they wanted him in their midst. In fact, they were so excited that they celebrated for 7 days this dedication. And as God entered the building his glory shown mightily before the people resulting in them bowing before the Lord in humility.
I want that same enthusiasm with my life and body. As a follower of Christ, I want to dedicate my whole life to the Lord so he can dwell within me and thus allow his glory to shine through my life onto other people. I want people to see the glory of the Lord in my life so that they can’t help but be compelled to follow this same Lord and Savior.
But may that first be my desire for myself: that I will follow and serve the Lord in humility, then have God use me to help point others to Christ.
MY PRAYER: Lord, I dedicate my life and body to you. Dwell in my midst and use me as you would want to. Amen!
