First Chronicles Chapter 5
Forgiveness Releases Us From The Guilt And Shame.
We read of Reuben’s genealogy. Ruben lost his birthright because he used his dad’s bed for an inappropriate sexual act. The consequences for his sin affected him and generations after him.
Yet God still gave him, and the descendants after him, the gifts and abilities to be a skillful warrior in battle with sword, shield, bow and arrows.
We all will suffer consequences for sin. Some consequences affect just ourselves while other consequences affect others as well. The good news is there is forgiveness of sins and hope for the future. God’s forgiveness is real and removes all guilt and shame that haunts us. Then he’s willing to use us again in Ministry through our God given gifts.
Confess your sins to the Lord today and let his forgiveness remove the guilt and shame that hold you back from being all that he wants you to be. And surrender Your Heart to the Lord for the gifts that he has for you that can be used for his glory. Then wait and see what God can do in and through your life.
