2 Timothy Chapter 3
Are We In The Last Days?
One day Jesus is going to return and gather his church, those who followed him, and receive them into heaven.
But before he returns, this chapter gives examples of things that will be happening on Earth that signify that we are indeed in the last days. Paul mentions over 20 examples and from what I can see, we are experiencing the end times. Four examples says, people will be lovers of money, disobedient to parents, lovers of evil, and lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God.
We are instructed to have nothing to do with such people because we don’t want their influence to break down our faith.
In fact, Paul encourages Timothy to remember that all Scripture comes from God’s Holy Spirit and we can trust all Scripture as God’s truth.
May we be compelled to surround ourselves with God’s truth and live it as an example to those around us, even if it means facing persecution which Paul says will definitely happen.
Please do not allow yourselves to be sucked into our culture’s world of truth!
