I Sure Look Up To You!
Jehoash became king at age 7 and reigned as king for 40 years. He did right in the eyes of God all his days and he was mentored by the faithful priest Jehoiada. So the success of Jehoash as king has a lot to do with a strong faithful mentor in his life. Plus a strong will to want to follow the Lord.
Questions: Who is a Godly mentor in your life? Who is it that you look up to and inspires you to be faithful in your walk with Christ? Who challenges your faith walk? Who asks the tough questions in your life and even makes things uncomfortable for you? Who is it that you allow to even lovingly expose areas of your life that aren’t pleasing to the Lord?
CHALLENGE: May Jesus be our ultimate role model, but may we find that one person that we can look to for inspiration, encouragement, one who will challenge us outside our comfort zones.
CHALLENGE: Then may we be that one mentor for someone else.
