2 Corinthians Chapter 8
Plead For The Privilege To Give.
Paul is excited to share how God’s grace was evident in the Macedonian churches. In the midst of a very severe trial, they were overflowing in different areas:
1. Their Joy. How often do we exhibit Joy when we’re going through a very severe trial? May we, by faith, show Joy because we trust that God is in control.
2. Through their financial giving. They gave beyond their ability but within their means. This reminded me how churches gave above and beyond their ability when the outbreak of covid came.
3. Churches pleaded for the privilege of serving God’s people which they did so by first surrendering their lives to the Lord making themselves available to God for his plan for their lives. Have we surrendered our lives to the Lord seeking his will in best using our gifts in serving others? Do we plead with God for the privilege of serving others?
Let us plead with God together on how he can best use us in helping support the ministry of the churches for the spreading of the Gospel!
