Yes, Confront Sin With Love, Encouragement, Compassion, And Forgiveness.
Paul writes a letter to the Corinthians and speaks about one Christian who made bad choices and was confronted by the body of Christ. The man confronted went into sorrow and had a repentive heart. Paul urged the church to lovingly forgive and comfort the person so he would not be overwhelmed with sorrow but could experience Joy again in his life. Restoration is always the key and not condemnation. So when we confront sin, it should be done in such a manner that encourages restoration.
Lael is a ninth grader who has done an online devotional for over a year. She made a bad decision in June and her parents took away her cell phone nearly to the end of August.
Yes, Lael has her phone back but she has also repented from her sin and knows of God’s love and forgiveness and is back to doing Ministry. She started her devotional backup, she has spoken at a youth group, and even spoke at FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) at her school.
There’s always forgiveness and opportunity for restoration, and then be used again by a loving and forgiving God.
