2 Corinthians Chapter 13
Condemn Or Restore.
In Paul’s letter to the Corinthians, he gives warnings to them for there are some who have fallen from their faith in the Lord and even question Paul’s authority in Christ. Paul warns them that God’s power will not spare them for their acts of disobedience. Paul says his goal is not to be harsh out of anger in order to tear them down but he’s harsh with the goal of restoring them back with Christ.
Every so often we come across someone whose faith has failed. What do we do? Do we condemn them in our mind and isolate ourselves from them? Or do we lovingly confront them in hopes of seeing them restored in faith? Do we pray for them or not?
There are times when it is necessary to isolate ourselves so that we don’t also Fall away from our faith. But too often I feel Christians are quick to condemn versus going into prayer for the person and attempting to encourage them back into faith.
Do you know anyone struggling with their faith? Perhaps God would want to use you to reach out to them. Or maybe you are that person struggling. Remember God loves you and wants a relationship with you. Turn back to Him!
