2 Chronicles Chapter 36
This Whole Thing Is Sad!
In less than 35 years, Judah had four different Kings and all of them did evil in the eyes of the Lord. God constantly sent Messengers to Judah telling the king and the people to repent of their sins. But they didn’t listen. They mocked God’s Messengers. Got warned them that if they didn’t repent he would bring destruction upon all Judah.
And sure enough, God sent the Chaldeans into Judah who killed many men and women, burn the house of the Lord down, tore down the walls of Jerusalem, and took the survivors as slaves in Babylon.
It seemed to be a very sad ending for Judah and Jerusalem. All that represented God and His presence was destroyed and burned, along with the people removed. A symbol of defeat and hopelessness.
BUT!!!!!!!!!!!
After 70 Years, got impressed upon the heart of Cyrus the King of Persia to rebuild Jerusalem.
There’s always hope! When we turn our hearts from the Lord, God might let us fall because of our disobedience, and we may feel there’s no hope for a future but there’s always a BUT!!!!!!!!!
BUT God still loves us and still cares for us and still wants to show us compassion. He always has a plan for restoration! ALWAYS! It doesn’t matter how far you’ve fallen from the Lord, he always is ready to restore us. He’s just waiting for us to humble our hearts and turn back to him. God will put hope back into your life and not only restore your relationship with him but will also reestablish a plan and purpose for your life to bring glory to his name.
