2 Chronicles Chapter 25
God Has So Much More For Us!
The new king of Judah, Amaziah, prepared a great army to go against the Edomites. He paid lots of money to have 100,000 troops of Israel help him in battle. But God told King Amaziah not to use any troops from Israel for they have rejected him and he would not be with them. King Amaziah was concerned about the money he already paid them to go into battle. God said to Amaziah “I have so much more to give you than this.”
What’s really important to us? Where do we place our trust? How concerned are we of Earthly treasures over heavenly treasures? King Amaziah was, at first, very concerned with the money he gave Israel, like he wanted it back. But later was willing to quit focusing on the money and focus on what God had for him. Sometimes, we have to be willing to give up treasures of this world that hold us captive and learn to trust God to be our provider. God actually has so much more for us if we would but trust him. “So Much More” doesn’t necessarily mean more money but more blessings and opportunities to touch and impact lives for the kingdom.
What are you holding on to? Is it interfering with your faith walk? Are you willing to let it go today so you can receive the “much more” that God has for you?
