Life Is So Short. Make it Matter.
When Jehoram became king his focus was all about having power and living however he pleased thus fulfilling his selfish desires.
Sadly, his desires resulted in killing his brothers and hurting a lot of people. He did so much evil that God spoke to him saying that His wrath would fall upon him.
As a result, Jehoram’s many enemies attacked and took all his wives and all his children except the youngest one. He became very sick and suffered 2 years in great pain which resulted in death.
When he died nobody cared because he was hated so much. In fact the people refused to bury him with the other kings who died before him.
Lord help me not to get so caught up with this world that I make it all about me. Life is too short. Help me be focused on others. May my life always glorify you and help point others to Jesus. And when I die and go before you, may I hear, “well done my good and faithful servant.” And may the legacy I leave on Earth be one that gains the respect of others and helps point others to the Lord. Life is too short. I want it to matter!
