1st Thessalonians Chapter 1

This Gospel Seems Real!

This is a great letter of how the Gospel was presented and brought real fruit for Jesus because lives were impacted and changed for the Lord. They took it serious! It was real to them!

When the Thessalonians first heard the gospel:

1. They received it with joy even amongst a region where there was severe persecution to the Christians.

2. They repented of their sins. They wanted to take their faith seriously so they put away sinful practices and began to imitate other believers and imitate the Life of Christ they were hearing about.

3. They worked hard to get the Gospel out to others.

4. They presented the Gospel in love.

5. They endured through the tough times because they knew of the hope that awaited them in Christ Jesus.

6. Their faith was so real and they were so committed to it, that it resulted in people hearing of their faith EVERY WHERE!

Is this Gospel real to me?

How serious am I taking it? Has my life seriously been changed by the power of the Gospel? How hard am I working so that others can hear the Gospel? Am I willing to face persecution and endure through it? Is my Christian walk done so in love? Is it so real to me that people everywhere know that I am a follower of Christ?
