1st Samuel Chapter 10
Are You Hiding From God’s Call?
God chose Saul as Israel’s King but Saul constantly avoided any discussion about it, even after the Holy Spirit came upon him and changed his life greatly. Why was he avoiding his chosen kingship? Was he overly humble? Was he insecure? Was he ashamed? Was he scared? Did he lack confidence? I’m not sure why but for those of us who have given our lives to the Lord, we received the Holy Spirit and our lives are also changed. The Spirit also calls us into a life of service for the Lord. The question is, are we pursuing God’s call for our lives publicly? Or are we hiding as Saul did? Are we scared or ashamed to let people see our new life in Christ? What is God calling you to do with your faith? Are you pursuing God’s call or are you in hiding? Let his Holy Spirit change you in a noticeable way as a testimony of one’s faith. Then be obedient to God’s call for your life. Have a great day.
