Is God’s Glory Shining Through Your Life?
After God’s Temple was built, all Israel came together while the priests and Levites transported the Ark of God into the most holy place of the Temple where God would reside. As the Ark of God was placed in the holy of holies, God’s glory shown so bright that the people were unable to stand before the glory of God. To see God’s glory was enough to compel the people to obedience thus turning from sin.
Today, God wishes to dwell within every believer in Christ. Our bodies are his Temple, where his Holy Spirit dwells. Do you have a relationship with Jesus? Are you compelled to live in obedience to his word? Is your love for Christ evident to others? Do they see the glory of God shining through your life? Does it compel non-believers to think twice about God’s true existence? Or do you look so much like the world that it only ends up reinforcing in their hearts that God is not real?
Lord, it is my deepest desire that my life will represent your glory in such a way that others are compelled to seek you and repent of their sins and gain that relationship with Jesus. Lord, may my life help draw people to you and not away from you!
