Don’t Limit God! He Has A Plan!
King Ahab’s wife, Jezebel, is responsible for having killed many prophets of God and when she heard that Elijah had killed all of her prophets of Baal, she was furious. She sent a message to Elijah vowing that she would kill him.
Elijah was afraid of Jezebel and ran away because she was a very wicked woman with great determination to do evil to others.
It’s amazing how God just did a huge miracle through Elijah before all of Israel showing them that he was the one and only true God. But once threatened by a very evil woman, Elijah is unable to believe God can deliver him from her.
After running away, God meets with Elijah and asks why are you running? God wondered why he couldn’t trust him especially after witnessing a huge miracle. God tells Elijah he has a plan for his future so to trust him with the plan.
What’s something the Lord has done for you in the past? Now think of a situation you are currently in and ask yourself, can God deliver me from this present situation? We often put limits on God, especially if in our eyes the situation looks too big. It’s then we feel God is not big enough to help us overcome such turmoil. Don’t limit God, but rather, trust him even through the most difficult situations. He has a plan for your future, so trust him. Thinking you want to die and escape the turmoil is not God’s plan. That’s the devil’s plan. Having faith that God has a plan for your future should act as a motivation to not give up but keep moving forward.
